Our Holiday Cottage
Our beautiful five star cottage is located a short walk from the River Taf in the quiet, serene town of Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Our accommodation comprises a Living room, dining room, kitchen, three double bedrooms, an attic room, bathroom and a cloakroom/wetroom. There is plenty of space to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring the beautiful area. The kitchen has a microwave, range cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and Cappuccino machine. Cots and Highchairs are also available.

Yes, a conservatory leads out into a private landscaped South facing garden with a stunning water feature. You can enjoy the beautiful views that overlook Laugharne Castle. We have a barbeque which all our guests are welcome to use. There is also an ample seating area for you to relax.

Our cottage has laundry facilities, including a washing machine and tumble dryer. They are always well stocked with washing powder and fabric softener for you to use. We can offer a daily cleaning service and towel change at an extra cost. We will be happy to advise you of these at the time of booking.

We certainly do. Upon arrival, all our guests are greeted by our housekeeper, who will be happy to give you a tour of the cottage. You will be offered a choice of Welsh high tea or Champagne. We will also provide a selection of local savouries. We also provide toiletries, bathrobes and towels for our guests (beach towels are not provided). If you want to light the living room fire, we also provide logs.

Dylan Thomas was born in Uplands, a suburb of Swansea in South Wales, he moved to Laugharne, and after living in a couple of properties in the town, he settled at the Boathouse with his wife Caitlin and his children.
After his death, Dylan Thomas' body was returned to his beloved Laugharne. His funeral and subsequent burial took place at St Mary's church. His beloved wife was buried next to him after her passing in 1994, aged 80 years.

Yes, this trail will take you to all the places that allow you to understand the life of Dylan Thomas. It will take you to the places he lived, frequented and of course his famous Boathouse and Writing Shed.
There are heritage walks in Laugharne. There is a coastal path that will take you around Laugharne, with many stunning and beautiful places along the way.
If you follow the coastal path map, you will pass Laugharne castle, with its Giant medieval towers of stone guarding the remainder of the awe-inspiring 13th century Tudor castle turned mansion.

Carmarthenshire is sometimes known as the Garden of Wales. It is home to Aberglasney Gardens, an almost smaller scale Welsh equivalent of the Lost Gardens of Heligan; it also homes a beautiful National Botanical Garden. Well worth a visit.
This stunning area is famous for its Roman heritage and connections to the legend of Merlin. The town was initially built on a Roman settlement. There are also free museums in Carmarthen that are home to centuries of treasures, including Egyptian artefacts, mammoth bones, and an abundance of ancient Roman gold.
