Our Luxury Laugharne Cottage
Our charming 5-star cottage is located in stunning Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, West Wales and dates from around 1810.
The property is luxurious and comfortable, having 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an attic room, so can easily accommodate up to eight people, and we operate a no smoking house throughout. The property separates into 4 floors and overlooks a Norman Castle...
The village of Laugharne was the inspiration of the famous radio drama, 'Under Milk Wood,' written by Dylan Thomas.
It's a perfect destination for a family holiday; whether it's for a few days or a week, you'll have plenty of time to discover the sites and attractions. Laugharne is a popular place for holidays, with amazing beach views, Welsh character and its picturesque coastline.
Living Room
The luxurious living room features an inglenook fireplace with a fully functioning log burner, as well as Georgian wallboards.
Dining Room
Adjoining the living room is a finely furnished, spacious dining room that sits up to eight people, decorated with a range of hand-picked art.
Kitchen
In the kitchen you'll find a Belfast sink, granite worktops, range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and a cappuccino machine.
3 Double Bedrooms
There are three double/twin bedrooms, all of which have exposed wooden beams. Bedroom one has a lovely roll top bath and basin.
Attic Room
The attic room features exposed wooden beams, an LCD television and a host of Wii gaming station games, as well 2 extra beds.
Bathroom
The bathroom is clad with exclusive silkstone and iridescent glass mosaics and contains a square bath large enough for two.
Cloakroom/Wetroom
The cloakroom/wetroom is a luxurious space clad in rustic tile and stone mosaics. It's located on the ground floor for ease of access.
Garden/Conservatory
The private garden features a BBQ which our guests are welcome to use. You can enjoy views overlooking Laugharne Castle.

Other Amenities
There will be complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and towels for each guest, supplied to you. The logs for the fire will be provided, and baby safety gates are placed around the house. The parking is free, and no reservation is needed, and pets are allowed to stay at the property at no extra cost, but this must be consulted upon booking.

The bedding at Longshore House has been purposely selected to make sure your sleep is as luxurious as our property. It's made from the finest down and feather, but we can provide anti-allergy bedding upon request. We do allow pets into our property, but only allow up to 2 dogs. For more information on this, please read our terms and conditions. The property owners reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time on reasonable cause.

With friendly locals and a wealth of history to discover, there is no more welcoming village in Wales. It's also a short walk away from some breathtaking destinations to explore, such as:
Llansteffan
Llansteffan is a small Welsh village on the south coast of Carmarthenshire. Experience the coastal view and beauty of the sun setting over the water. Llansteffan is around a 12-mile drive from Longshore House.
Pembrokeshire
Pembroke or Pembrokeshire is a county in the southwest of Wales, bordered by Carmarthenshire. There are lots of small towns located around Pembrokeshire such as Narberth and Amroth and is about 25 miles away (40 minutes) from Longshore House.
Tenby
Tenby is located in the Southwest of Wales on Castle Beach and is famous for its historic town walls and long sandy shoreline. Tenby is a brilliant spot for fishing along the Pembrokeshire Coast and exploring the 15th century church.
Saundersfoot
Saundersfoot is a magnificent destination for summer holidays or spring breaks and is around a 30-minute drive away from Longshore House. If you're coming in the cold December months, it's still worth a visit, just make sure you wrap up warm! This place is a fabulous road trip, either to take the children, walk the dog along the beaches or just a romantic holiday for the adults.
Pendine Sands
Pendine is on the North shore of Carmarthen Bay, which situates Taf Estuary, the mouth of three main rivers in Wales, and is mainly used for car and motorcycle races. The beach is accessible to dogs all year round, and with its beautiful surroundings, it's ideal for long, relaxing walks. Pendine Sands is reasonably close to Longshore House, being only a 15-minute drive away.
Cardigan
The small town of Cardigan has a friendly local community and lies on the River Teifi, giving it a peaceful setting. There are 10 beaches in Cardigan and some coastal pubs so you can sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. Cardigan is a 50-minute drive away from Longshore House, and if you like to travel, it's definitely worth it!

The Old Boathouse and Writing Shed
Laugharne is famous for Dylan Thomas, who is a famous Poet. You can actually visit the Old Boathouse, where he lived and wrote his poems. It is free to go and visit and is definitely an experience you won't forget.
Laugharne Castle
Laugharne Castle is a stunning medieval historic building that was established in 1116. If you enjoy learning about history, then this is somewhere you need to visit. It was a Norman Castle, and was later associated with the famous poet, Dylan Thomas.
Browns Hotel
This fantastic hotel is definitely somewhere that is worth a visit, as you can really experience the Welsh culture. Dylan Thomas used to enjoy a drink here with his family, so it is very iconic in Laugharne.
